Leichtathletikmeisterschaften
Am 14.3. waren die Whanganui Secondary School
Athletics Champs. Da ich bei den schulinternen Leichtathletikmeisterschaften
gut performt habe, wurde ich von meinem
Coach Greg aufgestellt.

Athletics Championship
On 14.3. were the Whanganui Secondary School Athletics Champs. Having
finished well at the school's athletics champs, I was nominated by my coach
Greg. I had to make shot put and discus. Together with 40 other athletes I presented the school.
The championship started at 12.45 p.m. and ended after six hours.
The championship started at 12.45 p.m. and ended after six hours.
I went directly after school with my host family to CooksGarden
(athletics court), where they have looked for a nice place to watch me.
Together with the other athletes from
WHS, I waited and a short time later, it goes to the shot put. I hoped that I
will throw over my old record of 10.33m, but I only reached 9,50m (7th place).
At 5:45 pm I was called to the discus. This time I wanted to come over the 30m
mark, but unfortunately I managed only 27m and reached the 4th place.
The day ended with a delicious Hawaiipizza, which my host family had brought
for me. An exhausting and hot competition came to an end. 23 athletes qualified for the North Island Championships on the 7th and 8th of April in Whanganui. This is the biggest team we ever had;) Well done!
If you want to support our team, then you are very welcome to come to Cooks Garden. The event will start on the 7th of April at 9 a.m.(Sunday 7a.m.).
